Working At The Pad

So this past week I've been working out at the pad. We've been connecting our hardware to the shuttle, and my job has been supervising all the KSC techs...suuuuuuuper boring however, the nice thing is I can take a bunch of stupid pictures of me in the cargo bay!

The room we're in is called PCR (Payload Changeout Room). there's a big wall of stairs,(above) and plaforms that can move forward and away from the shuttle. Its called the PGHM has a bunch of hooks that grabs all our hardware from the 'can' and then sticks it in the shuttle bay.

Here's me in front of the shuttle airlock.

Mom and Jay Visit!

Mom and Jay took a trip down to visit breda and I down here in cocoa beach! We started off with some beach time because it was such a nice day. It was a nice first day, only to be washed out by a crazy storm on Tuesday.

Breda dropped the fam off at KSC to take the tour and see all the sweet buildings. While they were on the bus the craziest storm we've had since we've been down here hit. Apparently there was a tornado that touched down just east of KSC. Breda drove by the cocoa flea market on her way home, and when she met us for lunch there were a bunch of damage and roofs missing...crazy!

we finished off the trip with lots of beach time, bbq at slow and low, and a night at the irish pub. Mom and Jay got to meet two of the guys i work with: dave and charlie. Here are a few pics:

Thanks for visiting!!!

Houston Trip

Spending a few days in Houston to practice mission things. We went to Kemah for some steak last night. Everyone had the legendary combo, drank and ended up playing around with the stuffed bear. Here they are:
